This is simple but true. You don’t need the light IN the light. You need it in darkness. We are called to be the light of the world, yet many of us don’t care to approach any type of darkness. Perhaps we don’t want the darkness to ‘get on us’? Understand this… no matter how dark it is, even something as small as a match light makes a difference. Don’t talk about people who are lost and can’t find their way when you who have the light aren’t willing to show up and help them see. Sunday service should be for recharging our lights, not for showing them off.
Matthew 5:14-16 – “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
